LAUNCH INTO THE DEEP, LET DOWN YOUR NET!

Luke 5:4, ”Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught”

The above scripture describes the scene where Jesus instructs Simon Peter, James, and John to launch their nets into the deep water after a long and unsuccessful night of fishing.

The fishermen has toil in day and night hoping to have a successful practice and harvest a lot of fish but were totally disappointed.

It was at this instance that Jesus Christ came into the scene and everything turned around. There came a change of situations.

Simon Peter’s one of the fishermen responded, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing” [Luke 5:5], highlights their skepticism and frustration. However, they decide to obey Jesus’ command, and as a result they caught a large number of fish, so many that their nets broke [Luke 5:6-7].
With this development, they became disciples of Jesus and no more known as fishermen but fishers of men into the kingdom of God

Lessons to learn from this:

1. Be OBEDIENT keep your TRUST in the Lord. Jesus instructs them to fish in the deeper waters, which was not their usual practice. This requires trust and obedience.

2. Be ready for new trials that will evolve a positive change in your life and listen attentively to advice and instructions from the master – Holy Spirit. Despite the fishermen’s expertise and previous failures,
Jesus told them to try again, this time in a different location and at His command and they arrive at a new results.

This command is significant because:

This miraculous catch leads to a profound realization of Jesus’ divine authority and power.

This event marks a turning point in the lives of these disciples, as they begin to understand Jesus’ true nature and their role in His mission.

The story emphasizes the importance of FAITH, OBEDIENCE, and TRUST in Jesus’ guidance, even when it challenges our conventional wisdom or past experiences.

So shall we experience divine turn around in our ministry IJN

Prayers
1. O Lord, make me fishers of men and not a fisherman in life!

2. O Lord, open my understanding to new experience and idea!

3. I shall have an experience of overflowing catch of big fish in the ocean of life!

FAILURE OF GEHAZI!

The purpose of God for all TRUE BELIEVER is that they should all have GOOD SUCCESS ALWAYS as well as in ALL WAYS.

2 Kings 4:29-31’’Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thy hand, and go thy way: ….. And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked’’.

An example we can site and learn from concerning the word ‘’FAILURE’’ is the story of a man named Gehazi. This man appears for a short time in the Bible, but his appearance brings important lessons to all Christians the world over.

WHO IS GEHAZI?
Gehazi is the servant of the prophet Elisha.

GEHAZI’S FAILURE
The FAILURE of Gehazi started in the text that was read above. The last sentence read, THE CHILD WAS NOT AWAKED! A big blow and an outstanding FAILURE from Gehazi. Unfortunately, it was NOT ARRESTED on time! In all the ministry of Gehazi as a man of God, there was NOT a single situation where Prophet Elisha gave an instruction and something did not happen apart from the incident read above.
Gehazi did what Elisha asked him to do concerning the dead child but that did not revive the child.
There was already something in the life of Gehazi that needed to be SHAKEN OUT which he did NOT do until the event of 2King 5:20-27 now happened and that ended the equation of the life of Gehazi.
The enemy completed his agenda for Gehazi; GEHAZI FAILED. He was immersed in TOTAL FAILURE! and his DESTINY truncated.
That will NOT be your portion however, you need to pray these prayers to avert the spirit of FAILURE from your LIFE.

SPIRIT/POWER OF EXCELLENCE!

Daniel 6:3 “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.”

ATTAINING AND SUSTAINING EXCELLENCE.

1. Don’t be a mediocre. Acquire Knowledge and Skill you require.

2. Failure is valuable information. Don’t ignore it or miss its lessons.

3. Stay focused on excellence. Don’t let setbacks disrupt your progress.

4. Be inspired by others, let them lead you to greatness.

5. Be creative in your life and be comfortable with CHANGE because CHANGE is the oniy PERMANENT thing in LIFE. If you refuse to CHANGE, CHANGE will definitely CHANGE YOU!

6. Be the best at what you do.

7. Don’t be a lone ranger, connect with the right people for vision.

8. Don’t be complacent at any level of success.

9. You need God to fuel and energies your excellence.

Beloved, you need GOD to give GRACE to your EXCELLENCE, that is the EXCELLENT SPIRIT OF GOD.

Declare this to yourself,
I (mention your name), receive the spirit of excellence of God, by the power in the blood of JESUS.

THE 9 POWER PRINCIPLES:

1. Always target your power goals: Be focused and aim high, not wide.

2. Refresh your power goals before re-entering the starting gate: If necessary, realign your goals based on new realities.

8. Embrace and celebrate detours, roadblocks, speed bumps, and stop signs: A journey well-travelled helps ensure safe arrival.

9. People support what they help create: Two is better than one and three is even much more better.

1. O Lord, enlarge my coast beyond my wildest dream !

CHRISTLIKENESS!
[Imitating God]

1 Corinthians 11:1, “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” (NKJV)

“Christlikeness” refers to the quality or state of being like Jesus Christ in character, spirit, and actions. It involves emulating Christ’s teachings, values, and example.

In 1 Corinthians 11:1, Paul writes:”Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” (NKJV)
Or, as the NIV translates it:
“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”

Here, Brother Paul emphasizes the importance of imitating Christ’s character, values, and actions. To be Christlike means:

1. Humility: Christ’s humility and willingness to serve (Philippians 2:5-8).

2. Love: Christ’s unconditional love and compassion (John 13:34-35).

3. Forgiveness: Christ’s forgiveness and mercy (Matthew 6:14-15).

4. Obedience: Christ’s submission to God’s will (John 5:30).

5. Selflessness: Christ’s sacrifice for others (John 15:13).

CHARACTERISTICS OF CHRISTLIKENESS include:

1. Compassion and empathy

2. Kindness and gentleness

3. Patience and perseverance

4. Humility and modesty

5. Integrity and honesty

6. Forgiveness and reconciliation

HOW DO WE CULTIVATE CHRISTLIKENESS:

1. Study and meditate on Scripture.

2. Pray for guidance and transformation.

3. Surround yourself with positive influences.

4. Practice self-reflection and accountability.

5. Serve others and demonstrate love.

Christlikeness is a lifelong process.It requires intentional effort and commitment. Christlikeness inspires others to follow Christ.
By imitating Christ, we reflect His character and values, inspiring others to do the same.

BELIEVING GOD FOR MORE!

1Chronicles 4:10, ” And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested”

The name JABEZ means “a cause of pain”, but it was a label he REFUSED to FULFIL. And you too should not!

We need to start praying again and again, the prayer of Jabez.

It is time to BREAK OUT and become a BOUNDARY – CROSSER!

This new month of August, instead of settling for less, brethren, let it be a new beginning to start believing God for more things, more wisdom, more strength, more victory, more time to evangelize, more favour, more aggressive faith, more quality time for the word of God ___________ ? [fill in the blank!].

Jabez didn’t allow his beginning to dictate his end. He refused to allow his family to keep him down so also, his burden.
God has something He wants to SHOW YOU concerning your future as from this first day of a new month. So, get into His presence and stay there until you see it.And so shall it be in the name of Jesus.

Prayer
1. Any power, calling my name from the gate of the throne, scatter!

2. Evil voice, calling my name from the evil market, I silence you by fire!

3. Evil decree issued against my destiny, be revoked!

4. Every influence of grave yard spirit over my life, break!

4. In this new month, my life shall continue to attract divine favour!

5. Powers scheming to waste my life, receive the baptism of destruction!

Good Morning. In this new month of August, every arrow assigned to load my heart with one problem or the other, kill your sender, in the name of JESUS!

PERFECT LOVE OF GOD!

1John 4:18-21, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, that he who loveth God love his brother also”.

When you have the love of God in your heart, you will fear no evil because you will always be reassured of God’s presence around you. You will not fear the terror by day or evil of the night.
It is when we forget how big and powerful our God is that makes us panic. The fact you don’t have money in your pocket does not determine you are poor! If a child is with the father, he feels SECURED and PROTECTED, no matter the situation the father may be passing through.
The sole aim of the devil is to make you doubt God, but if you can always remind yourself that God is for you, you will fear no challenge. Psalm 23:4-5 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over”. The presence of God does not mean the absence of challenge; it means you will always overcome.

Look beyond the physical happenings around you and allow the joy and love of God to continually radiate in your heart.
We often worry about things that should not ordinarily occupy us, the word says “we should cast our burdens on him”.
When the love of God fills your heart, you will have no fear of anything again in the world, knowing full well God is in charge!

GLORY OF THE LORD!

Exodus 19:9-15, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee forever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto Moses, go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes, and be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. And he said unto the people, be ready against the third day: come not at your wives”.

God is everywhere but His glory cannot appear everywhere. The glory of God is not a common thing but very sacred. If the glory of God is upon an individual and he goes where he is not supposed to go, the glory will not follow him there. Also if an unqualified person comes close to the arena where God’s glory is manifesting, such an individual’s life will never remain the same.

The point is this, for the glory of God to manifest in your life, you must merit it. In the above read text, God told the people to consecrate themselves and wash their garments, the implication is that to experience the glory of God, we must be CLEAN and PURE in heart before God.

Furthermore, God expects us to be of singular purpose in other to receive this divine glory; 1Thesalonians 4:3 “For this is the will of God, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication”.
The fornication mentioned in this verse is not about sexual relationships outside of marriage alone but letting unlawful thoughts occupy our hearts where the love for God should be.
David wasn’t the holiest person but the love he had for God was never under threat in his heart, he loved God unconditionally which made God love him too.
Beloved, determine today, to show your life as one of the destinations that will attract the glory of God to dwell in. LOVE GOD and you will soon be a WONDER to WATCH! So, shall it be in the name of Jesus.

Prayer
1. O lord, help me to always live a consecrated life, in the name of Jesus.

2. Father lord, guide me always to be conscious of where I go, in the name of Jesus.

3. I am that I am, reposition me for uncommon glory, in the name of Jesus.

4. Belly of the swallower, burst and release my glory, in the name of Jesus.

5. Glory of my ancestors buried by idolatory, come forth, in the name of Jesus.

Good Morning. As from today, O King of glory, arise and change me from glory to glory, in the name of JESUS!

EMPOWERED BY CHRIST!

Text: Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Apostle Paul wrote this letter to the Philippians while he was in prison. Despite his challenging circumstances, Paul remained joyful and confident in the Lord. In Philippians 4:10-13, he shares his secret to contentment and strength in all situations.

THE POWER OF CHRIST

In verse 13, Paul declares, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” is not just a verse – it’s a promise, a declaration, and a way of life.
The phrase “all things” encompasses every aspect of life – trials, challenges, opportunities, and responsibilities. Paul is not saying he can do everything on his own, but through Christ who empowers him.

EXAMPLES OF THOSE WHO WERE EMPOWERED IN THE BIBLE.

– Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt (Exodus 3:10-12)

– David defeating Goliath (1 Samuel 17:45-47)

– Daniel in the lions’ den (Daniel 6:19-23)

– Jesus calming the storm (Mark 4:35-41)

These examples demonstrate that God empowers His people to accomplish great things.

CRITERIA TO BE EMPOWERED.

– Recognize your limitations
(2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

– Rely on Christ’s strength (Ephesians 6:10)

– Trust in God’s promises (Hebrews 13:5-6)

– Take action in faith (James 2:14-26)

Beloved, we can face any challenge, overcome any obstacle, and achieve great things through Christ who strengthens us. Let’s embrace this truth, rely on His power, and live a life that honours Him.
