DEAL WITH THE ‘’DEVIL’’ YOU KNOW!
1 Kings 11:1-4 , ‘’vs 11: But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites … verse 4, For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father’’.
A man once said, ‘‘FORGIVE MANY THINGS IN OTHERS BUT NOTHING IN YOURSELF’’. That means, ‘’ DO NOT PET or PAMPER YOURSELF.
TELL YOURSELF THE HARD TRUTH and DEAL WITH YOURSELF MORE THAN YOU DEAL WITH THE DEVIL! The DEVIL IS NOT YOUR GREATEST ENEMY! because JESUS BRUISED HIS HEAD ABOUT 2000 YEARS AGO.
Your greatest enemy is YOURSELF: your EMOTION, your BODY, your APPETITE, etc.
Brother Paul said, ‘‘but I keep under my body and bring it into subjection [a forceful control], least that by any means when I have preached to others, I myself should be cast away’’ [1 Cor. 9:27].
Solomon HINDERED his GLORY because he FORGETS TO CONSIDER THE ENEMY WITHIN HIMSELF [1 KING 11:1] :he lived with many strange women.
Beloved, don’t hinder your PRAYERS/BREAKTHROUGHS with your own HANDS. For example, BITTERNESS/MALICE cancels your prayers.
Not TITHING slow down your progress. NOT being HONEST with your spouse and MURMURING against SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY makes you go round and round.
Deal with the ‘DEVIL’ you know: YOURSELF. LAZINESS in PRAYERS/BIBLE STUDIES will ruin you FOREVER.
HANDLE your BODY/SLEEPING HABITS. HANDLE your EATING HABITS. Why would you uproot that you have planted? An African proverb says: ‘‘When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you.’’
Abraham Lincoln said: ‘No man is free, who is not a master of himself.’’ Edmund Hillary wrote: ‘‘It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves.’’
Today, REFUSE TO BE YOUR OWN ENEMY! LET US LEARN!
Prayers
1. I REPENT and REFUSE to STAND on my own WAY of PROGRESS as from now!
2. SINS or HABITS that may be OBSTACLE to my BREAKTHROUGH, be DESTROYED!
3. All my PREVIOUS FAILURES shall be a STEPPING STONES for my TESTIMONIES!
4. I shall NOT be NUMBERED among the WASTED in LIFE!
5. I THANK YOU for ANSWERING my prayer!
